Luisana Lopilato

LUISANA LORELEY LOPILATO was born on 18th May 1987 in Buenos Aires, in Argentina. Today she's one of the most famous actresses, singers and models in Latin America. She made her television acting debut at the age of twelve, in 1999. She was chosen to play Luisana Maza in popular soap Chiquititas. Tha soap produced Cris Morena who saw in Luisana new teenage star. Luisana countinoued her acting carrer in Rebelde Way. It had 2 seasons and Luisana became famous thanks to role of Mia Colluci. While she was acting in Rebelde Way, she also became a member of music band Erreway. After the soap, Camila Bordonaba, Felipe Colombo, Benjamin Rojas and Lu starred in movie Erreway: 4 Caminos. After that she signed with Pol-ka Production with wich she did two telenovals, Los Pensionados and Los Secretos de Papa. In 2005 she acted in Casados Con Hijos together with her brother Dario Lopilato. In 2006 she worked again with Cris Morena and Benjamin Rojas in telenovela Alma Pirata. She also played in theatre, in play Arlequin, servidor de los patrones and Cinicienta. She made her second movie in 2007. She played with Ginella Neyra in El Capo. Luisana Lopilato is also a cast member of first soap on cell phones ever, Encandilados. At the moment she's working with this new project called Atraccion x 4. Lu is beside singer and actress, a model. Since 2004, she's promoting 47 Street fashion house. She also worked for Promesse, Gillete, Coca-cola, Keef, McDonald's,...

Mia Colluci is the role that made Luisana Lopilato famous in the world. The soap Rebelde Way had two seasons and it's still one of the most succesful telenovelas ever. When the second season of Rebelde Way ended, four cast members, Luisana Lopilato, Camila Bordonaba, Felipe Colombo and Benjamin Rojas, played in movie about their band Erreway. They kept theri roles of Mia, Marizza, Pablo and Manuel, but the story wasn't realy conected with the soap. Movie also was a promotion of their third album Memoria.

Los Pensionados is an intressting story about different people who live in pansion called La Argentina. Luisana acted jelaous girl Kathy. This was the first time she starred a villian. Casados con Hijos is an argentine version of popular soap opera Married with Children. It's actually a sitcom with Guillermo Francella, Florencia Pena, Luisana Lopilato, Dario Lopilato, Marcelo de Bellis and Erica Rivas. Luisana in this telenovela plays Maria Paola Argento, a very special girl. Paola seems very stupid and she always does foolish things.

El Capo is an argentine movie made in 2007. It's a story about thief who doesn't want to be thief. The cast members are well known to the audience. The main role is Omar Yariff (Angel Rodriguez - Los Roldan). Encandilados is a first telenovela made for cell phones. The Telefe production made 50 episodes that last 4 minutes. The story is about Candela (Luisana Lopilato) who wants to revange the death of her mother. She gets job in company of the man who raped her mother. He's an important man in film industry. Candela will also fall in love with Fernando who's also an actor like her. In this project beside Luisana, worked Sabrina Garciarena, Rodrigo Gonzalez and Nestor Sanchez.

Princesa Cinicienta (Princess Cindrella) is old, but always magic story, that this time audience from Argentina and Uruguay could watch in theatre. Luisana preformed the princes and the princ is Rodrigo Guirao Diaz. The role of main masculin carrecter was offered to Felipe Colombo (Rebelde Way), but in the end Rodrigo was the chosen one. The play was presenting in Buenos Aires in July and August, than the cast memebers left on a tour. Right now they are working on other projects, but soon they'll be back in theatre.

Atraccion x 4 is new project Luisana is working on together with Rodrigo Guirao Diaz (Amas de casa desperadas), Camila Bordonaba (Rebelde Way), Elias Vinoles (Romeo y Julieta), Dario Lopilato (Casados con Hijos), Gabriel Goity (Los Roldan),... She's playing Nina, the eldest sister who fells in love with Francisko (Rodrigo Guirao Diaz). This telenovela staretd broadcating in November on argentine's TV channel Canal 9.
